So, we’ve had a pretty busy weekend! We spent almost all our weekend in Bibbi’s old music school, which we had borrowed for the occasion.
We started recording again on Saturday. We got 2 violin players and 1 viola player who together made a string quartet with Hildur. Luckily they’ve played together before (Ólafur Arnalds’s string quartet) so it sounded really good.
We started out the session by plotting a little bit. It was Ingibjörg’s birthday so we had the string quartet start the session out with playing Happy Birthday for Ingibjörg. Ingibjörg’s face was priceless!
The string quartet got to work their magic in lots of places and we are really happy with the outcome!
The next day we got two wonderful brass girls (pun intended, they are from Björk’s Wonderbrass!) They played french horn and trombone.
We did a good session with them. Then we finished recording all the cello for the album. And by that we finished all the instruments. Now its only voices!

Today we then started recording the vocals. It’s so amazing to see the songs finally come together with the last parts of the songs. It kind of feels like being a kid on Christmas, eager to open more presents!
We’ll share some videos with you soon :)
